Description:

after living in the big city for a while this couple was excited to move back to nature (and family) in style. Situated in beautiful Birdseye, montana this 3 bed, 2.5 bath new home takes advantage of its location overlooking a river with mountains in the distance by adding a bonus 3rd story room and deck deemed “the perch.” due to the topography, the front of the house appears to be a modest ranch with just the tip of the perch peeking up that enters on the main living levels, but as you continue around to the back you can experience the height of the 3 story house. another goal of this project was to make it sustainable and energy efficient. one of the main strategies to achieve this goal was to wrap it with exterior insulation to prevent any of the unwanted heat escaping or entering the home.
